What to Expect
All dental exams and procedures are performed while the patient is under general anesthesia. This ensures your pet’s comfort and safety while enabling our team to thoroughly clean above and below the gum line. While your pet is asleep, we will take full-mouth digital dental x-rays and thoroughly examine their oral cavity. Then, we’ll clean the teeth to remove plaque and tartar. If we find any seriously damaged teeth, we may need to perform extractions using our veterinary high-speed hand drill. Our goal is to preserve as many teeth as possible, but sometimes, we need to remove a few.
